Hey, I’m Shaw—founder of Funktion Glass Co, based out of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. I started blowing glass back in 2014 under the name Vigilant Glass Arts, but over time my work evolved, and so did my style. That’s when Funktion was born.

For me, it’s all about movement, intention, and making glass that funktions—pieces that aren’t just nice to look at, but also elevate the experience. I love creating forms that feel like they’ve got their own momentum—tornados, recyclers, whatever twists and pulls through space with purpose.

I don’t mass-produce—I create. Every piece is a one-off, shaped by fire and function, built to rip and made to last. I put in the time to make glass that feels alive in your hands and works like it should.

I’m 32 now, still torching with the same fire I had when I first started—only now, the lines are cleaner, the funks are tighter, and the vision’s clearer than ever.
